News from the Superintendent's Office

March 2017

Spring is almost upon us!  So that means, schools are preparing for spring testing and doing everything they can to keep students focused. The administrators are turning an eye to the next school year and starting to lay plans.

Spring activities are starting, including track, softball, baseball, weight meets, stock shows, and band competitions. The basketball teams had a great season. The boys and girls ended their seasons in the playoffs, with the girls just missing a state playoff spot. The quiz bowl teams are doing well. In fact the 8th grade quiz bowl team won a spot in the state tournament.

The dome building project is coming along. There is a shell and there is now work starting on the inside of the building. There are a lot of projects being planned around the district, so keep a look out for them.

The district is thriving with education and activities. IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A CHIEF!
