We will be having an informational community meeting in regards to the upcoming bond issue on Monday, January 18 at 6:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. Understanding that this is a national holiday, we will also have one on Friday, January 29 at 6:00 p.m. Please make plans to attend one of these, if possible, to learn more about the bond projects that make up the proposal.

As we begin a new semester on Tuesday we will continue to do our best regarding COVID protocols and procedures. If your child shows symptoms, tests positive, is awaiting test results or if a family member is awaiting test results, please, do not send them to school. The safety of our students and staff will always be our top priority. Our goal is to keep school open and activities going but it will take everyone’s cooperation and flexibility to achieve this goal. Let’s have a great semester!!

The band silent auction items will be available on Monday, January 4th at the 5-8th grade basketball games. Bidding will close just before halftime of the 7-8th boys game and winners will be announced at halftime. All proceeds will go to the Waukomis Chief Band! Basketball Fans-I wanted to inform you that after a discussion with the legal team at the Governor’s office for clarification on the Executive Order limiting fan participation at home games, we will not be requiring tickets but will keep a count to make sure we are in compliance with the order. We feel comfortable with previous attendance numbers that will keep us under the threshold. However, we will have to abide by other district’s protocols when we are the visiting team and will get that information to you as soon as we get it. I apologize for the unnecessary stress that this has caused. Let’s do our part to make sure we get to continue with not just basketball season but all activities for our kids.
