Waukomis Public Schools has a bond election coming on April 4th. Here are the facts: Polling Places: Regular precinct locations in the Waukomis School District Polls Open: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Need: To approve a $310,000 School Bond Issue for Waukomis Public Schools On April 4, 2023, a bond election will be placed before the patrons of Waukomis Public Schools. The School District has several areas in immediate need. With your help, we can address these needs. The proposed bond issue will provide the funds needed to: • Add brick veneer to the elementary building. • Landscape work • acquire and install security equipment. • acquire and install window treatments. Because of continued growth of the District’s tax base and existing bonds expiring, this bond issue will not cause an increase in taxes! Superintendent David Brewer will host informational meetings on Monday, March 27th at 7:00 PM in the new elementary cafeteria and Wednesday, March 29th at 6:00 PM in the new elementary cafeteria. VOTE APRIL 4TH! NO NEW TAXES!

Hope everyone has had an awesome Spring Break! I am looking forward to seeing our Chiefs and Little Chiefs tomorrow, Monday, March 20th. Congratulations to Jelani King, a Junior at WHS, for being crowned as the 2023-2024 Oklahoma Angus queen. During the next year, she will assist at Angus shows, sales, and events as an ambassador for the Ok Junior Angus Association.

Parent teacher conferences are quickly approaching as they will be held on March 7th and 9th from 3:30-6:30. Elementary parents please feel free to take a tour of the new school as you come up for conferences. Any community members that would like to see the new school please feel free to come up after conferences from 6:30-7:30. See ya then!
