Parents: We have found a Lactaid pill, which is for lactose intolerance, in the cafeteria just after breakfast. We're pretty sure that it belongs to an elementary student but not sure who it belongs to and who needs to take it. I'm sure it's important though. If your child takes this pill can you please contact the elementary office.

Thank you to everyone that came out Monday night for Meet the Chiefs and thank you to Waukomis Activities for putting it all together. If you haven't paid for your parking spot make sure you do so in the Superintendent's office. Also, we still have a few spots remaining for parking if you need one. Contact Marisa and she can assist you.

Please do NOT send your child to school if showing signs and symptoms of COVID which include: sore throat, runny nose, fever, body aches/chills, nausea/vomiting among others. It affects everyone differently so, please, monitor your child and keep them home.

Just to clarify. This is through Palen music center to rent a band instrument. It is not through our school. Also 5th grade does not pay a fee for a band instrument.

Just a reminder for kids under the age of 18 that live in our district but do not attend school, we will have pick-up lunches available from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Elementary School front door. This will start on Monday, August 16.

We will also auction off the parking spots by the football field.

Coach LaGasse will have the cross county meeting at 3:30 in her classroom in the Middle School building. Parents may attend.

Waukomis elementary would like to welcome Nathan Pearson to our staff. Nathan will serve as our P.E. teacher and softball coach. This will be Nathan’s 18th year in education and we are very excited to have him!

Elementary parents: drop off and pick up procedures will continue like last year. Pre/K and Kindergarten parents may walk their child to classrooms today and tomorrow only.

Parents/Guardians:
As you spend the last evening with your kiddos before school starts I want to ask each of you to take a moment and send good vibes or say a prayer for our students, staff and administration for the coming school year. Educating kids is a huge responsibility and one that we take very seriously. Will we be perfect? No! However, we will strive to bring our very best every single day. Please have patience and understanding as we work out any kinks that may arise during the next two days. It's going to be an amazing school year. We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow. Once a Chief.......

Thank you so much to those that fed the staff these past few days. It was greatly appreciated. A big thank you to Dopey's, Mo's Place, the Methodist Church and the Waukomis 4-H club.
